RGM supports the NT with purpose-built facility

Liquip International is a globally recognised leader in quality products and solutions for specialist fluid transfer applications. The company has been supplying equipment for the bulk liquid handling and storage industries for over 50 years, strengthening its reputation for excellence every step of the way.

Liquip supplies equipment for storing and transferring bulk liquids such as petroleum and dry bulk, and specialises in terminal, tanker and aviation markets, offering best-in-class products such as tanker equipment, loading arms, ground monitors, meters, filtration and pumping systems.

In 2013, Liquip recognised the opportunity to partner with RGM Maintenance Darwin (RGM), a proud Liquip customer. RGM is a quality-endorsed new vehicle sales, repair and maintenance service provider for heavy vehicles and equipment utilised in the fuel road transport sector, as well as vehicles and equipment used in mining, tourism and defence applications.

The partnership was part of Liquip’s plan to meet local customer demand in the Northern Territory. RGM Darwin, with local market knowledge and strong customer relationships, was a standout option. Following discussions between both companies, an arrangement was made and RGM Darwin were honoured to become a Liquip distributor.

RGM has been supporting the transport industry since beginning in 2002 in Brisbane. The company continued to evolve as it expanded into Townsville in 2005, Darwin in 2009 and Adelaide in 2012 – finally growing into the extensive network it houses today.

Following business growth and the addition of Liquip to its portfolio, RGM invested in and built a 8,000-square-metre facility to cater for the Northern Territory’s heavy vehicle maintenance industry.
This facility has 14 full drive through truck bays, a full-length service pit, truck and trailer hoists and a double drive through truck trailer wash bay, including degas facilities with drop down wands to degas all tank compartments simultaneously. The workshop design has allowed RGM to streamline its operations, reducing downtime for customer assets.

RGM Darwin’s current team of 25 employees – some of the highest-qualified and most experienced in the region, are always ready to provide their assistance and guidance to customers about their extensive range of Liquip and RGM products and services. These include tank truck equipment, fuel tanker repairs, alloy welding and barrel repairs, degassing, hot works, two-and-a-half and five-year hydro inspections, pass-to-load inspections, Safe-Load-Program (SLP) accreditations, truck SLP fit-outs, new builds, refurbishing/re horsing, spare parts and maintenance.

RGM Darwin also repairs and tests SLP fuel handling equipment utilised for petrol, diesel and aviation fuel. All of its branches are SLP accredited inspection stations.

RGM Darwin is also capable of performing re-certification and return to service checks, which are required for all tankers that undergo maintenance prior to returning to normal operations.

RGM also provides aviation services to the highest level of customer specifications and in compliance with all relevant Australian civil aviation and defence aviation standards. These specific services include hose, valve and tank hydrostatic testing, EWP inspections and repairs, SLP compliance, and Meter Calibrations (NMI Certified).

As Liquip moves into the new age of metering systems, RGM’s technical staff have the ability to not only service and maintain old mechanical metering and delivery systems, but also the new user-friendly Swift delivery system, which has become the go-to solution for on-board truck metering systems.

As a core member of Liquip’s nationwide sales and servicing network, RGM is proud to help maintain Australia’s energy and resources supply sectors.
